The UBAVIDA project continues to publicize the work of the entities that are part of the operative group through a series of informative pills. On this occasion, the video focuses on Paco & Lola wine cooperative of reference in the Rías Baixas D.O. and key partner of the project.
Paco & Lola: cooperative experience at the service of innovation
Paco & Lola is a cooperative formed by hundreds of winegrowers from the Rías Baixas, with a long history in the production of Albariño grapes and quality wines. Its cooperative model, based on shared knowledge and joint vineyard management, makes the entity a strategic agent for the development and validation of new viticultural practices.
Within the framework of UBAVIDA, this experience is particularly valuable for transferring research and innovation to the real field, working directly in productive plots and in permanent contact with winegrowers.
Paco & Lola’s contribution to the UBAVIDA project
As explained in the informative pill, Paco & Lola’s participation in UBAVIDA focuses on supporting the development of sustainable strategies in the vineyard aimed at obtaining grapes with lower sugar concentration. This objective responds to both the effects of climate change and the growing demand for wines with lower alcohol content.
UBAVIDA: cooperation for a more sustainable wine sector
The participation of Paco & Lola reflects one of the fundamental pillars of UBAVIDA: collaboration between productive, technical and scientific entities to move towards a more sustainable, resilient and innovative wine model.
